With another WakeSurf Event at Island Lake in the books, we’re gathering the intel to help bring you to the podium on the next go-around! Here are some of the skills our Pro Athlete judges are looking for out on the water.
First up: confidence! Our judges loved seeing you all having fun out on the water. The Paragon puts off waves that many new surfers aren’t used to riding on, and overcoming those new swells takes some determination and an ability to adapt with your ride.
Which brings us to the next tip: RIDE YOUR RIDE! Play to your strengths and do the tricks you know well! And if you want to try something new out there, go for it! Whatever your competition run is—have fun out there!
